There is distance but not distance as much as between planets

Though in physicality you are so very far from me
and I have not the pleasure of touching
the very same pages you have turned
or laying my gaze upon
that in which you know so well
I remember each night which inevitably rolls in after each day
we share the same atmosphere
The very oxygen feeding our bodies
surrounds us both in this terrible, wonderful bubble suspended in space
When I stargaze I spot constellations and planets
I see the milky way
I see the heavens above me
where we all hail
I think how lucky I must be
to share this uneven, uncertain surface with you
and know that you too have undisturbed view of our sky
